Port Said
It was constucted in1860
as a new port on the Mediterranean Sea for Suez Canal.
It is a universal famous city because it became a free
trading zone. It is far about 220 km from Cairo & 80 km
from Ismailia & 160 km from Suez. This city has
beautiful beaches, calm places, soft sands without rocks
in its water and it is also considered as the gate of
Egypt between Africa and Asia. You can visit elgamil
area it is about 12 km to the west of Port Said where
you can go for fishing or have a sailing voyage in the
port to see ships which across Suez Canal.

Suez Canal
At the northern side of the Red Sea, is the Suez Canal,
which adjoin the Red Sea to the Mediterranean, forming
the world's most important sea traffic route. The 160 km
canal took 10 years and 25,000 workers to dig it, and it
has been a major source of political controversy .
The Suez canal had witnessed five wars, namely WWII and
a series of Arab-Israeli wars. |
